This important award will recognise an individual that has made a significant contribution to their employer and Nursing community since moving to work in the UK. The award category will also focus on Ealoor Consultancy’s motto ‘Changing lives’. Therefore, this award recognises nurses who have relocated to the UK and demonstrated outstanding growth in their education, professional skills, and career development. Nominees are those who have overcome challenges, embraced new opportunities, and made significant contributions to their workplaces or the wider healthcare community. This award celebrates perseverance, dedication, and the drive to achieve excellence in nursing while inspiring others through their journey.
Eligibility Criteria:
1. Overseas Nurse Status – International Nurses holding either residential or non-residential status in the UK; British passport holders & Indefinite leave to remain are also eligible.
• Applicants must be overseas-trained nurses who have come to the UK to practice nursing.
• Specifically, this includes nurses who completed their initial nursing qualification outside the UK and are now working or studying in the UK.
2. NMC Registration
• All nominees must hold current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
3. Sector of Practice
• Nominees can come from any nursing or healthcare sector, including but not limited to:
• NHS
• Private healthcare providers
• Community healthcare services
• Nursing or residential care homes
• Charities or voluntary organisations
• Government or arm’s-length organisations
4. Who Can Nominate
• Self-nominations are welcome.
• Nominations by others are also accepted from colleagues, supervisors, peers, or members of the community who wish to recognise an individual’s achievements and impact.
Nomination Criteria:
1. Professional & Career Progress
• Demonstrated growth in clinical skills and professional competencies since arriving in the UK.
• Progression in career roles (e.g., promotion, specialist roles, advanced practice, leadership positions).
• Contributions to innovation or quality improvement within healthcare settings.
2. Educational Advancement
• Completion of relevant UK-based courses, diplomas, or degrees.
• Achievement of professional certifications or Accomplishments
• Mentorship, teaching, or knowledge-sharing initiatives with colleagues or students.
3. Community & Societal Impact
• Engagement in healthcare initiatives benefiting the local or wider community.
• Participation in voluntary work, health awareness campaigns, or charitable nursing projects.
• Advocacy for patient care, public health, or the nursing profession.
