The University of Hertfordshire (UH) is a modern university based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, founded originally in 1948 as Hatfield Polytechnic and given university status in 1992 and renamed to how it is known today. Described as “the UKs leading business facing university”, UH has academics that are leaders in their field and provide local businesses the support and facilities they need to grow.

In the last 18 months, the university has opened their new institute of Sport, Enterprise Hub, a new lecture theatre and a light and sound stage, along with this they are aiming to start construction of their state-of-the-art School of Physics, Engineering and Computer Science this year. The university is ranked 68 in the 2023 Complete University Guide and holds the Silver award within the Teaching Excellence Framework.

With around 30,000 students, the university currently has 10,000 international students from more than 140 countries worldwide. They have two main intakes, January and September, and also hold pre-sessional English courses preceding the January and September starts.
